Specific text tones for different persons helps you to identify the text you received is from whom. So that you can ignore the message or check it immediately. There are various messaging apps for Android and they all have different settings and different features. Therefore, here are guidelines for some common text messaging apps.

These days most of the people and Android Companies use Google Messages. In many of the phones, the app is pre-installed, and it is also available on Google Play Store.
Steps:
1.    Open the 'Google Messages' app.
2.    Select the conversation you want to set the tone for.
3.    Tap on 'Menu' icon.
4.    Select 'Details'.
5.    Now, tap on 'Notifications.'
6.    Select 'Sound' from Notification category.
7.    Find the tone you want to use.
8.    Tap the 'Tone' to choose.
9.    Tap the 'Back (back arrow)' button.
10.    Tap 'OK/Save.'

3.    Tap on 'Menu' icon.
4.    Turn on 'Custom Notifications.'
5.    Then tap 'Custom Notifications.'

6.    Here three tabs are given to select tones from.
•    Tap on 'Bell' to view the system's tone.
•    Tap on 'Microphone' to record a tone.
•    Tap on 'Folder' to view and select tone from File Manager.
7.    Find the tone you want to use.
8.    Tap the 'Tone' to choose.
9.    Tap 'OK.'

5.    Select 'Notifications'.
6.    Now, tap 'Notification Sound.'
7.    Find the tone you want to use.
8.    Tap the 'Tone' to choose.
9.    And, tap 'OK.'
