How to Get Missing Date and Time in Taskbar on Windows

If the taskbar is not showing today’s date and time, then there is an issue with the taskbar settings. Windows will display the time and date in the right-hand side of the taskbar. If you are facing the missing clock problem continuously, then you have to follow the instructions mentioned below to bring the date and time back on the desktop.

How to Get Missing Clock?
In case you are not able to see the clock on the desktop, then it can be possible that you had disabled the clock settings. In case you do not update the Windows in its latest version, then this can be the reason for this problem. Go through the steps mentioned below to display the clock again on the desktop:
•    Open the “Settings” option of the Windows.
•    Tap on the “Personalization” option.
•    Go down and tap on the “Turn system icons on or off” button.
•    Ensure that the Clock should be turned on. If the Clock is disabled, then you have to enable it.
•    Additionally, you have to right-click on the taskbar and after that, choose the “Taskbar” option. After that, you have to go through the above steps again.
How to View Blacked Out Clock?
In case the clock is showing on the screen, but you are not able to see the date and time in the clock because there is blacked out or shadow which is covering the clock. In that case, you have to do the following things mentioned below:
•    Change Desktop Background
Sometimes you are not able to see the background of the Windows that is the reason the clock is not displaying properly on the taskbar. To solve this issue, you have to change the desktop background and color. To do so, you have to open the “Settings” window, then “Personalization” option and after that, press on the “Background” option. You have to choose a new desktop background.
Additionally, you need to right-click on the screen and after that, choose the “Personalize” option from the drop-down menu. Press on the “Background” and the desktop background gets successfully change.
•    Change Desktop Theme
After changing the desktop background will not solve this issue, then you have to change the desktop theme of the computer. To so do, you need to open the “Settings” option, then “Personalization” button and after that, tap on the “Themes” option. You have to select any one theme from the given menu.
•    Change the Taskbar Background Color Much Lighter
In case you have to change the accent color of the computer, then the color of the taskbar also gets changed. It can be possible that the computer accent color and the color of the clock is not appropriately synced and the taskbar is showing the black color.
If you wish to see the clock again, then you have to adjust the personalize settings by opening the “Settings” option, then click on the “Personalization” button and after that, press on the “Color” option. Unselect the “Automatically pick an accent color from my background” checkbox.
Otherwise, go down on the existing display and after that, unselect the “Start, taskbar, and action center” checkbox.
How to Get the Date on the Taskbar?
•    Enable the Small Icons
You have to enable the small icons by following the steps mentioned below:
  • Open the “Settings” option.
  • Press on the “Personalization” button.
  • Then, tap on the “Taskbar” option.
  • Additionally, you have to right-click on the taskbar and after that, choose the settings of the Taskbar.
  • You need to disable the “Use small taskbar buttons” option.
•    Change Time Format from 24 to 12 Hours
You have to adjust the time format to show the correct time on the taskbar. Follow the steps given below to adjust the time format:
  • Go to the “Control Panel” option on the computer.
  • Open the “Region” option.
  • Press on the “Additional Settings” button.
  • After that, tap on the “Date” option
