How to Organize Downloads in Safari on iPad

On iPadOS 13, Apple has built Safari web browser with the similar features of a desktop. Now you can do the same things in your iPad, which usually are possible in desktop browsers. Today we talk about the downloading features of safari browser which is available only for iPadOS 13. In the new Safari web browser, you can easily download and manage files from any website as we do in a desktop. Let’s get into it.

How to download any files in Safar Web Browser?
Let’s understand the basic and advanced abilities of this browser. It has computer-level internet browsing experience, which will provide you every single feature that can you use in a computer browser. Now it is possible to download files directly to your iPad from the internet. You can download any data such as compressed files, documents, music, setup files, videos, etc. All these features are only for iPadOS 13. Below is a guide on how to download files via Safari browser in your iPad:
  1. Open Safari browser on your device.
  2. Go to the webpage which contains downloading link of the file which you want to download.
  3. Now tap on download link.
  4. Confirm if asked for downloading the file.
  5. If you want to stop or pause your downloading files: tap on “X” which appears on an active download. Now your downloading is stopped.
Managing Downloaded Files on Your iPad

  1. On your Safari browser, you will see a downloads button on top-right corner.
  2. Tap on downloads icon to manage and view downloaded files.
  3. If a file is under the downloading process and you want to stop it, click on “X” to stop your download.
  4. To resume a paused download, click on the “resume” button to resume the file.
  5. If your download manager has been filled with downloaded files, to clean the manager list tap on the clear button. ( Note: When you clear your download list the files will remain safe in your storage. you can access those files in your downloads folder located inside iCloude Drive app.)
How to Access your Downloaded Files on iPad without using Web-Browser?
If you have cleared your all downloaded files from Safari browser, you can still access all those files from your iPad’s file manager. See the below tutorial to access your downloaded files on iPad:
  1. Open “Files” app on your iPad.
  2. Click on “browse.”
  3. Then select the “iCloud Drive” located at the left side panel.
  4. Navigate to the “downloads” folder.
  5. Now you can access all your downloaded files from here.
To share a downloaded file, tap on share icon appeared in the top-right side of your file manager. It will ask to choose a platform to share the file. You can choose any one of the platforms as you like.
