There are several apps through which users can easily get distracted, including Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, and YouTube. It was announced last May at Google’s conference and the app stops the distracting apps till the time you want. This is done by setting the timer, which prevents to use them with set increments, and when the timing ups, then Google will remove the apps from pause option.
The app is believed to help the users by stopping the overuse up to 90% of the time. They can select the app to pause, including Instagram, Facebook, which may always distract with the notification. Focus mode is the new feature of Google that supports digital health with features of digital wellbeing like Wind down mode, that converts screen to grayscale. However, it has been created to assist you in getting better sleep as well as feel less involved in watching the phone at night. Other features filter the blue light that may affect the sleeping pattern and make you awake longer.
iPhone has the same features that focus on helping you from the overuse of the phone, which experts believe can harm and affect in physical stress from the mental dependence on the device.
How to Apply Focus Mode for Android
If you want to apply Focus mode for Android, then you can follow the provided steps:
  1. Launch Digital Wellbeing app.
  2. Choose the Focus mode.
  3. Click on the box at the right of every app that you need to disable. Users have to choose Show all apps if it’s not noticeable.
  4. Press the Turn on now option.
You will notice that the pause apps will turn into grey. However, if you will try to launch the app, then the box appears, which shows it is enabled. Users can choose the Settings to apply changes or click on OK option to leave the app off. When you want to stop the pausing apps feature, return to the settings of Focus mode and press the Turn off now option.
How to Apply Quick Settings to Enable the Focus Mode
If you want to apply Quick settings to enable the Focus mode, then abide by the given instructions:
  1. Go to the Quick Settings section.
  2. Click on Focus Mode. It will stop all apps that you have chosen in the settings. 
  3. To make the changes in the apps that you may pause, go to the Digital Wellbeing app.
Now you will be able to concentrate on the task that you are doing instead of checking the apps or notifications of the apps.
