How to Install Ubuntu Linux on PC and MacBook

You may be wanting to switch to a Linux OS, for different reasons. Maybe you are looking for more stability or increased privacy. Whatever the reason may be, here is how you can install Ubuntu Linux on your computer.

Preparing to Download
Here is the process of installing Ubuntu Linux. Follow the instructions carefully.
•    First, you will have to ensure that your PC can run Linux.
•    Your PC must have a 2 GHz dual-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 25 GB HD space and DVD drive or USB port.
•    After that, locate a blank DVD disc or flash drive.
•    Then you can open www.ubuntu.com and download the Ubuntu ISO file.
•    Thereafter you can move down and choose the preferred version of your PC.
•    Now, select Download.
•    Then you should burn the ISO file on to a DVD.
•    After that, you can create a partition of your PC’s hard drive.
•    Ensure that your DVD is inserted on your computer.
Installing on Microsoft Windows
Here is the process of installing Ubuntu Linux on Windows. Follow the instructions carefully.
•    First, you will have to go to the Windows Start button.
•    After that, tap on power icon and select Restart.
•    Now you will wait for the Linux installation screen to come.
•    Thereafter choose language and tap on Continue.
•    Then you can see two options are Try Ubuntu and Install Ubuntu.
•    You can select Install Ubuntu.
•    Tick both boxes of “Download updates while installing Ubuntu” and ‘Install third-party software for graphics and Wi-Fi hardware, MP3 and other media”.
•    Now, select Continue.
•    After that, tick the “Erase disk and install Ubuntu” box.
•    Then you can select Install Now.
•    Thereafter when the prompt then you can choose Continue.
•    Choose a region and tap on Continue.
•    After that, choose a keyboard layout and select Continue,
•    Now, fill your information like your name, your PC’s name, and select a username and password.
•    Then choose a login option and tap on Continue.
•    When the prompt comes, select Restart Now.
•    Now, choose Ubuntu and tap on Enter.
Installing on MacBook
Here is the process of installing Ubuntu Linux on MacBook. Follow the instructions carefully.
•    First, you will have to go to the Apple menu.
•    After that, tap on the Restart option.
•    When prompted select Restart Now.
•    Now, instantly long press the option key.
•    Leave the Option key when the boot manager screen comes.
•    After that, choose your flash drive’s name and then select Return.
•    Then you will wait for the Linux installer screen will come.
•    Choose Install Ubuntu and then select Return.
•    Thereafter choose the language and select Continue.
•    Now, select Install Ubuntu.
•    After that, tick both boxes of “Download updates while installing Ubuntu” and “Install third party software for graphics and Wi-Fi hardware, MP3 and other media”.
•    Then choose Continue.
•    Tick the box of “Install Ubuntu alongside Mac.”
•    Now, Install Now.
•    Select Continue.
•    Choose a region and select Continue.
•    Then choose a keyboard layout and select Continue.
•    After that, type your user details like your name, your PC’s name, your username, and password.
•    Choose a login option and select Continue.
•    When prompted, select Restart.
•    Choose Ubuntu and hit Enter.
